BDA-BIOGRAPHY

Hailing from the great state of Texas, this seven piece jump blues/swing band has been making a name for itself on music scene since 2001.

Big Daddy Alright is being recognized as one of the premier bands of its kind in its short existence. The band has shared the stage with nationally recognized artists BR549, The Paladins, John Michael Montgomery, Deke Dickerson, The Red Elvises, The Comets and recently, Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy.

Big Daddy Alright has performed for The Dallas Cowboys, Phillips Petroleom Company, The University of North Texas, and twice at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender and at several casinos in Louisiana and Oklahoma .

In 2003, the band released its first full length album, Pilot To Bombardier, boasting twelve tracks of pure jump blues, rockabilly and swing.

Big Daddy Alright plays songs ranging from, Wynoni Harris, Big Joe Turner and Bobby Darin, to Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, and The Mighty Blue Kings, as well as several original compositions.

They are sure to make even the most inexperienced dancers take to the floor!

A Big Daddy Alright Show includes:

*full 7 piece band: vocals, upright bass, guitar, trombone, saxaphone, piano, drums

*up to 4 sets of continuous music, various tempos in the jump blues, swing band style

*full PA system available

*reliable transportation to and from performances

*compact disc/ipod/DJ listening abilities

*matching attire: 5 colors to choose from

Weddings: Our wedding show includes the full band, dressed in matching attire and playing a soft dinner set. As dinner is completed, the band comes alive with the best tunes to dance to! With our own PA system, we can make announcements and provide a cd player for any recorded music during breaks. In addition, the band can learn one song* for you to enjoy that special "Bride and Groom" dance! Big Daddy Alright has the ability to set a tone that reflects your vision for the party. Helping people celebrate some of the most important moments of their lives is a responsibility we take seriously.

Corporate Events: Big Daddy Alright can provide a "festive" alternative to the sometimes "stuffy" corporate meet. Attendees are sure to remember this meeting when BDA fires up the horns and provide some first rate tunes to move to! We can provide the PA as well as soft dinner instrumentals. Professional, matching attire and a slew of good tunes will make your next meet a real swingin' time!

Private Parties, Club Concerts and Outdoor Events: When festivals come to town and some serious entertainment is a must, BDA can be called on to get the crowd hopping! If you need a 30 minute set, or a 4 hour evening, it's no problem for the band. Young and old can find a tune that suits their style! Drums, piano, 2 horns, upright bass, a blazing guitar and smooth vocals make BDA the tops in entertainment.
